Power Insights · Power Platform governance & CoE

See everything your Microsoft 365 tenant has built on Power Platform

Power Apps, Power Automate flows, connections, connectors, solutions and Dataverse — every environment, in one place, in minutes. Power Insights gives your Center of Excellence the visibility it needs: read-only, tenant-wide, with nothing to install.

Power Insights tenant overview dashboard showing Power Platform totals

One assessment. Every object in the tenant.

Why Power Insights exists

Center of Excellence visibility, ready on day one

A Power Platform Center of Excellence needs a clear picture of the estate before anything else. Power Insights gives you that picture the day you sign in and keeps it current — whether you run Microsoft’s CoE Starter Kit alongside it or not.

Visibility as a service

The inventory side of a Center of Excellence, delivered as a product: nothing to install, nothing to upgrade, current from the first sign-in. It complements the CoE Starter Kit rather than replacing it.

Keep an eye on your Power Platform

Makers ship faster than governance boards meet. A standing, refreshable inventory means the estate you discuss is the estate you actually have.

Shadow IT has a shape

Personal connections running production processes, premium connectors in trial environments, apps owned by people who have left. You cannot govern what nobody has listed.

Answers before the audit asks

Who owns this? What does it connect to? What breaks if it goes? Governance, licensing and security all ask the same questions — and they are one export away.

Features

Everything in the tenant, object by object

One assessment reads the whole estate and stores it, so every page afterwards loads instantly — and every object links to the things it depends on.

Tenant-wide environment inventory

Every environment, production to trial, with region, type, Dataverse version and Managed Environment status.

Canvas and model-driven apps

Owner, version, created and modified dates, sharing reach, and the connectors behind each screen.

Cloud flow inventory

Trigger type, run state, action count and the connection references each flow resolves through.

Connections and their owners

Which account a connection runs as, whether it is shared, its status, and everything that depends on it.

Connector usage and tiering

Standard, premium and custom connectors ranked by real usage, so licence exposure stops being a guess.

Connection references resolved

The indirection between a flow and its credentials, followed all the way through and shown end to end.

Solutions and components

Publisher, version, managed state and a component-type breakdown of what each solution actually carries.

Dataverse tables and columns

Tables with ownership, auditing and change-tracking flags, down to column type and requirement level.

Excel and PDF exports

The whole assessment or any single object, exported in a shape a non-user can read without a licence.

See it in action

Every screen opens instantly from one assessment

One read of the tenant, stored — then every view below opens instantly. Nothing needs an agent, an installed solution or a change to your environments. Click any screenshot to enlarge it.

Overview

The whole tenant on one screen: every total, where it lives, what it leans on and what needs attention.

Estate map

What is joined to what — environments, the apps inside them and everything those apps reach, so you know what breaks if you touch it.

Environments

Production, sandbox, developer, trial, Teams and default — with region, Dataverse version and Managed Environment status.

Power Apps

Canvas and model-driven apps with the owner, who they are shared with, the connectors behind them and the SQL databases underneath.

Power Automate

Cloud flows with trigger, run state, owner and connectors — and, per step, the server and database each one actually touches.

Solutions

Managed and unmanaged solutions with publisher, version and contents — plus the apps and flows that sit in no solution at all.

Collections

Group apps and flows across any number of environments into a named list, then run tools against the whole list at once.

Migration planning

Pick the apps and the plan works out the flows, connections, solutions and premium connectors that travel with them — then tracks each stage.

Reports

Six standing reports over the same assessment: estate, environments, connectors, pre-migration, governance and security.

How it works

From sign-in to a full inventory in minutes

01

Sign in with Microsoft

Use a Power Platform, Dynamics 365 or Global Administrator account. Nothing to install, no app registration to create, no infrastructure to stand up.

02

Run the assessment

Power Insights reads every environment in the tenant and stores the result. Minutes, not a project plan.

03

Navigate, export, repeat

Browse the estate object by object, export what you need to Excel or PDF, and refresh whenever you want the picture brought up to date.

Built for Power Platform Centers of Excellence

The visibility a Power Platform CoE runs on, from day one

Whether your Center of Excellence is a team, a Starter Kit installation or one administrator, it starts with knowing what the tenant contains. This is that picture, kept current, delivered as a product.

Security & data handling

Read-only by design. Your data stays yours.

Read-only, by design

Power Insights reads your tenant through Microsoft's own APIs and never writes to it. There is no code path that modifies an app, a flow or a row of your data.

Your data stays yours

An assessment is the inventory — names, owners, versions, dependencies. Power Insights never copies the contents of your Dataverse tables or the data your flows move.

You are the tenant boundary

Every organisation is scoped to its own Microsoft 365 tenant. Colleagues who sign in join your organisation; nobody else can see a thing.

Pricing

Start free. Pay when it earns its place.

The free plan is a real assessment of a real tenant — not a countdown. Move up when you need more environments, more people or the exports.

Free

US$0 /month

Assess a single environment. Reports cannot be exported.

Recommended

Pro

US$499 /month

Full assessment of one tenant, with colleague access and exports.

Enterprise

US$1,299 /month

For organisations assessing a handful of Microsoft 365 tenants.

MSP & Partners

Custom

For managed service providers and Microsoft partners.

Billed monthly — save 15% on quarterly billing or 25% on yearly billing.
Prices exclude VAT. Every plan is read-only against your tenant and can be cancelled at any time.

Or buy it through Microsoft

Power Insights is listed on Microsoft Marketplace. Buying there puts it on your existing Microsoft invoice with no new vendor to onboard — and a purchase through the Azure portal draws down your Azure commitment.

Questions

What people ask before they sign in

No. It reads your tenant through Microsoft’s own admin APIs and never writes to it. There is no code path that modifies an app, a flow, a solution or a row of your business data.

No. There is no solution to import, no app registration for you to create and no infrastructure to stand up. You sign in with Microsoft and run an assessment.

A Power Platform Administrator, Dynamics 365 Administrator or Global Administrator account returns tenant-wide results. Any other account sees only the environments it personally belongs to. Reading solutions, tables and connection references also needs a security role inside each environment’s Dataverse database.

Minutes for a real tenant. The scan walks every environment across four Microsoft services and stores the result, so every page afterwards loads from storage rather than calling Microsoft again.

They complement each other. The CoE Starter Kit is installed into your tenant and adds governance processes such as DLP impact analysis, compliance requests and maker onboarding. Power Insights runs outside the tenant, is read-only, and focuses on inventory, governance visibility and migration planning — available the day you sign in, with nothing to maintain. Many teams run both.

Object metadata — the inventory itself: environments, apps, flows, connections, connectors, solutions and Dataverse schema. Never the contents of your Dataverse tables, and never your business data.

Yes. Colleagues from your Microsoft tenant join your organisation as members: they can read and export the assessment but cannot spend the organisation’s API quota by running a sync.

Yes. A migration project takes the apps you intend to move and grows the list to what actually has to travel with them — the flows they call, the objects sharing their solutions — then produces the solution plan, the risks and the exports.
